Jönköping Airport is owned since 2010 by the municipality of Jönköping.
Jönköping Airport has a unique accessibility through its location in the center of southern Sweden. Jönköping Airport AB (JAAB) is owned by the municipality and is a company that operates and develops the airport in Jönköping. The business consists of four businessareas: Scheduled passenger traffic to Stockholm with up to five daily departures to Arlanda operated by Nextjet and two daily flights to Frankfurt with BMI/Lufthansa with the acess to Lufthansa's huge flightprogramme from Frankfurt. Direct charter to popular holiday destinations. Freight and mailflights at night and incharter of German tourists in the summer.

We work actively with airlines, travelagencies and partners to develop business and traffic on both the passenger- and airfreight business. Because of its unique location in the middle of the south of Scandinavia and the good catchment area, there is a great potential to develop Jönköping Airport into an important and economically profitable business.
Jönköping Airport was opened in 1961 and the new terminal became operational 1991. The runway is 2203 metres long and 45 metres wide. Jönköping Airport handles regularflights, charterflights, general aviation, airtaxi and operates a neutral safety approved cargo terminal in-house.
